Threat Management Group Instructors based out of Camp Lejeune NC traveled to New London CT to train over 200 graduating Senior Cadets in the use of CBRN personal protection equipment. The training consisted of proper inspection and use of the M-50 Joint Service General Purpose Mask, the proper donning of both the Standard and Defense CBRN ensembles, and emergency immediate decontamination. This training was completed the week prior to graduation and gave the newly appointed Ensigns eligibility for the CBRN competency prior to reporting to their first Coast Guard units.
